Stepan Company was founded in 1932 by Alfred C. Stepan Jr. Headquartered in  Northfield, Illinois, USA. Stepan is a leading chemical producer whose range includes  surfactants, specialty products, phthalic anhydride, and Polymers.

The Polymers division produces polyester  polyols for Rigid and Flexible Foam industries and for the CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers ) and also for OCF applications.

Stepan's Polymers Division has plants across the world.  In Europe, the Polymers manufacturing locations are in Germany and Poland.

In 2016, Stepan announced a major expansion to its Poland plant, serving mainly the CASE and OCF markets. Also in 2016, Stepan opened a new technical and R&D centre in Wrocklaw, Poland.

In Russia the official and exclusive distributor and agent of the company Stepan for Polymers is Eigenmann & Veronelli – Russo.
